We named Wiley Cattle after our Gram-
                                                    Marvine Wiley.

I mean y'all she went to FWSS for her honeymoon.

But more than that, She was just a great person. She was kind, generous, loving, and ALWAYS positive. Not kidding- she could find the silver lining in any situation. The cattle business can be real tough, so we figured we’d name it after someone who never let a tough situation take the sparkle out of her personality.

Her legacy serves as a reminder to us to keep looking up even when all of the many challenges that raising cattle throws at us tries to get us down. So, thanks Gram, for sending us a little ray of your light when we are freezing our fingers pulling a calf in the snow, or the market tanks, or the trailer blows two tires in one trip to town, or it doesn’t rain for 2 months, or it does rain non-stop for 2 months and we spend all our time pulling each other out of the mud and treating pneumonia.

In good times or bad, she’d always say, “I’m just a real lucky ol so n so”. In reality, we were the lucky ones to have had her in our lives. Her and the rest of our wonderful family who have guided us along this trail. We are so blessed to have come from a long line of Montana and Texas ranchers and Midwest farmers, cattle feeders, and dairymen. Raising cattle runs in our blood. Couldn’t have done it without them.

The real early days.
Grandpa.  Texas. 1919

Grandpa Chub.  Literally the greatest grandpa and rancher of all time. Montana. 1980's

Grandma Nita.
Kept us all loved and very well fed.

Aunt Julie.  My second mom.  Taught me to be tough and how to be a good cowboy.

Mom n Dad.  Spring branding 1984.  Wrangled me into a decent person, supported me through everything, got me educated, and, most importantly kept me in good horses.  Against their better judgement.

My little sister.  While at least one of us has maintained a girlish figure, unfortunately we cant fit in the same saddle any more.

Saved the best for last.  ZB - the greatest gift of love and light and inspiration to our family.  We all miss him, but I was his favorite.
